Here's a 24" tall manzanita arrangement, using beautiful hanging aramanthis, deco jewel beads, and hydrangas. The tree is natural red Manzanita painted white, and set in a wooden vase.
Most Manzanita branches, like this one, are similar in width, however using 2 branches or supplements can create a fuller effect.
The stem is set in a styrofoam block with newpapers packed around it to within 2 inches of the top of the vase. A layer of plaster of paris was poured on top of that as a "cap" to create a solid base. Detailed instructions with photos can be found here.
