These worked beautifully for our wedding centerpieces.  We put some sand in the bottom of the vases and this allowed us to stabilize them like we wanted.  We sprayed them just a bit on the tips but liked the natural look.  We even cut a couple to fit in the vases better and they are hard so you will definitely need loppers if you want to do this.
